  Nice place worth visiting at least once or more if you have young children. Good displays of stuffed animals to look at and to touch. Many free brochures. Good maps for 4x4 s and ohvs, but you need to ask for them. They are free but I don't know, maybe someone made that rule because they don't like to promote motor vehicles in the forest boundaries? On the other side of the lake from the town of big bear. Good source of information so plan at least a half hour or more to look around. Several scheduled activities on weekends, again great for kids.
